Timothy Alan Hetrick

September 12, 1946 — October 7, 2022

Tim passed away peacefully in his home on October 7, 2022 from chronic heart disease. He was born on September 12, 1946 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Nelson Vincent and Ruth Audrey Hetrick.

Tim was a 1964 graduate of Alliance High School, a member of the National Honor Society, Latin Club and Debate Club. He was also a member of the nationally known Alliance High School Marching Band and a member of the Demolay.

He attended Hiram College for a year before enlisting in the US Air Force from 1965-1969. After Tim was discharged from the service, he worked at American Steel Foundries in the C&F. He also worked in the Chem Lab where he ran chemical analysis on the molten steel that was poured into the different molds. Tim was a member of the 25 year club at ASF. While working at ASF, he attended and graduated from Stark Tech from 1990-1994, where he earned a 2 year associate degree in computer science. In 1994, he was transferred to the payroll department. He retired from ASF in 2001. He started working for Securitas in 2002 and retired from there in 2014.

Tim loved most music from classical to country and all Cleveland teams. His favorite artist was Bob Dylan.

Tim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Anita “Dianne”; two sisters, Judi Hetrick (Rob Schorman) and Julie (Jim) Mackintosh; a niece, Randi Mackintosh (James Albert); a great-niece, Audrey; a sister-in-law, Yolanda (Dan) Tagge; and a great friend, Joey Cibulas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Daniel L.

Tim’s family would like to send a very special ‘thank you’ to the medical staffs for all of their care they gave Tim over the years.

A memorial service will be held on July 14, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. The service will take place in the Chapel at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, 1301 East State Street, Alliance, Ohio with the Rev. G David Weikart as celebrant.

United States Air Force Military Honors will follow.
