Agnes R. Bedford

Agnes R. Bedford, age 100, passed away on March 1, 2025. 

She was born on June 13, 1924, in Harrisburg, Ohio in her family home, to John P. and Isabelle M. (Samblanet) Frank.

Agnes graduated from Marlboro High School in 1943. She worked as a bookkeeper for Givens Insurance Co. for 25 years until her retirement in 1994. Agnes was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church where she was a part of the Altar Society. She also was a member of the Bowling Swinging 60’s Club and was a hospital volunteer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Douglas J. (Barbara) Bedford; six daughters, Denise (Daniel) Carrie, Judy (Ray) Hunter, Rebecca (James) Egli, Linda (Larry) Green, Diane (Jeff) Baum, and Joann (Michael) Stevens; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; sister; Jean Frasher and sister-in-law, Beverly Frank Monter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Spencer E. Bedford; sisters, Martha Price, Lucille McIntee, Marie Kovacic and Hilda Violand; brothers, Cletus Frank, J. Walter Frank, Roger Frank, and Clarence Frank; and a great-grandson, Ethan Montgomery. 

A visitation will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, March 7th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Saturday, March 8th at 10:00 a.m.
