Aileene Roar

Aileene Gracie (Boggs) Roar, age 79 of Alliance, died at her home at 2:35 p.m. Saturday July 30, 2005.
She was born July 30, 1926 in Grahn, Kentucky, to Wilford and Mary Lee (Russell) Boggs.
Mrs. Roar retired from providing home nursing care for over 35 years. She was a member of the Alliance Freewill Baptist Church, and member of the Women's Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Earl Roar, whom she married on April 2, 1949.
She is survived by her son, Lonnie (Diana) Lucas of the home, a daughter, Deborah (Robert) Morrison of Alliance, grandsons, Larry (Tina) Lucas of East Rochester and Timothy (Krystal) Roar of Alliance, granddaughter, Tracy (Curt) Edwards of Louisville, great-granddaughters, Megan and Morgan Lucas, and Danielle Edwards, three sisters, Jewel (Lowell) Holbrook of Sandyhook, Kentucky, Ethel Binion of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Sarah (Charles) Quimby of Alliance, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Willard Boggs, a sister, Mary (Roar) Bryant.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Alliance Freewill Baptist Church, 731 Buckeye Ave. in Alliance with Pastor Jimmie Holbrook and Associate Pastor Garlan Carter officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at Alliance Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alliance Freewill Baptist Church, or the donor's choice of charity.
