Alan Todd Sandifer

Alan Todd Sandifer, age 49, of Orlando, Florida, passed away, Monday, November 9, 2015.
He was born November 18, 1965 in Alliance, Ohio.
Alan was a graduate of Ohio State University and held his graduate degree from Northwestern University.
He was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Orlando. Alan was also an avid football fan and Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Alan joined Orthomerica as the Director of Research and Development and became a member of the senior management team. Alan worked out the technical aspects of converting a large foot laser scanner to be able to scan babies' heads to enable fabrication of precise custom reshaping headbands for infants with moderate and severe head shape deformities. It is still Orthomerica's most successful product line.
He also developed a unique computerized comparative measurement program which quantified the laser measurements and enabled professionals all over the world to accurately plot the head shapes of the infant's vs previous outlines of their skulls, which clearly showed the progress being made in their helmet. It was the first of its kind and continues to be the gold standard in the industry.
He is survived by his wife, Terri (McKay) Sandifer; parents, Jerry and Nancy (Hilsmier) Sandifer; daughters, Emelia Sandifer, Hannah Sandifer and Sophia Sandifer; step-daughter, Isabella D'Abate, former wife, Shari Sandifer; his brothers, Gary Sandifer and Stuart (Dayanna) Sandifer; and nephew, Andrew Sandifer.
Alan was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Sandifer.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 27, 2015, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Martin officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
