Albert A. Greiner Jr., age 79, of Alliance, died Saturday June 7, 2008 at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born Nov. 2, 1928 in Alliance Ohio to Albert A. and Erma (Haines) Greiner Sr. and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Greiner attended Alliance High School and retired after working as a Teamsters Truck Driver.
He was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church.
A U. S. Navy Korean Conflict Veteran, Mr. Greiner was a member of the American Legion, life member of the DAV and VFW; and was an avid bowler.
Survivors include his wife, Alice J. (Kindler) Greiner, whom he married June 2, 1951; children, Stephen (Judy) Greiner of Marlboro, Albert (Laurie) Greiner III of Alliance, Pat (Lorraine) Greiner of Alliance, Julee McKimmie and fiance' Larry Penny, of Alliance, and Mike (Cindy) Greiner of Alliance; 11 grandchildren; Tina, Jillian, Stephen Jr., Christopher, Daniel, Stephanie, Ross, Sandra, Tami, Ashley, and Lisa; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edith Aponasynwicz of Hartville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Geraldine Wallace, and one brother, Ronald Greiner.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Dean Lewis officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
