Albert Novy

Albert J. Novy, age 90 of Hartville, died at 10:55 a.m. February 26, 2007 at Altercare of Hartville. He was born June 7, 1916 in Alliance, Ohio to Albert and Rosa (Bell) Novy and lived in Alliance all of his life until he moved to Hartville 10 years ago. He was a graduate of Alliance High School and was a Chief Inspector at Morgan Engineering. He was a member of the Advent Lutheran Church in Hartville and a former member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alliance. He was a mason for more than 50 years and was a member of the Conrad Masonic Lodge. He is survived by daughter, Phyllis Novy of Hartville, sisters Olga DeSanti of Warren and Rose Novy of N. Canton and sister-in-law, Evelyn Brenner of N. Benton. Mr. Novy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anna (Schell) Novy, who died in 2000, a sister Dorothy and a son Frederic. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Cheyney Jr. of Advent Lutheran Church officiating Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Endowment Fund at Advent Lutheran Church, 1516 Edison St. Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
