Alex Miklos

Alex Miklos, age 88, of Canton, formerly of Alliance, died at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at House of Loreto in Canton. He was born July 23, 1920 in Alliance to Alex and Annie (Churcha) Miklos and was a lifelong area resident. Alex was employed as a heater with Transue and Williams Forge until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. He also was a member of the William Penn Club and the Conservation Corp. He is survived by his good friend, John Burns, of Louisville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Mildred (Rogan) Miklos whom he married September 25, 1947 and who died May 10, 1991. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Regina Coeli Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Seifert officiating. Friends may call from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the House of Loreto, the American Cancer Society, or the American Arthritis Foundation. Arrangements are by Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
