Alfonso A. Trombetta, age 84 of Alliance, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday July 3, 2005 at Community Care Center.
He was born June 26, 1921 in Alliance, Ohio to Joseph and Catherine (Tussa) Trombetta.
He retired in 1954 from Alliance Appliance after working as an assembler.
Mr. Trombetta attended Alliance Evangelical Friends Church and was a member of Christopher Columbus Society. He enjoyed telling jokes and many came to him for his good advice.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Anna (Agnew) Trombetta, whom he married June 12, 1943, one daughter, Donna Jean Trombetta of New York; one son, Joseph Anthony (Melanie) Trombetta of Canton; one granddaughter Vanessa Trombetta of Nevada; one sister, Josephine Lytle of Alliance and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
