Alice Bush

Alice M. Bush, age 89, of Homeworth, died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Roselawn Terrace.
She was born February 11, 1919 in Lowell, Ohio to John W. and Minette L. (Spies) Decker and lived most of her life in Homeworth.
Alice was a graduate of LaFollette High School in Tennessee.
She was a member of the Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women and was active in the bible study. She was a 25 year member of Eastern Star, Minerva Chapter, active in Girl Scouting for more than 40 years, Knox Area Senior Citizen member, and she enjoyed cake decorating, sewing, quilting and crocheting. Also, she was involved in several card clubs, camping clubs and Diebold Retirees Club.
Alice is survived by her children Joanne E. Melton and Robert L. Bush of Cumberland, Wisconsin., Richard H. (Su) Bush, Gayle M. Bush, Nancy J. Bush, and Ronald E. (Karen) Bush, all of Homeworth, E. David (Rosemarie) Bush of Sebring, Linda S. Bush of Austintown, Janet L. (Craig) Davidson and George W. (Chong Min) Bush of Louisville; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry L. Bush whom she married June 29, 1940 and who died July 11, 1979; two brothers, B. Earl Decker and George Decker and one sister, Louise McPeek.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday June 28, 2008 at Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church with Pastor Thomas Sawyer officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday June 27, 2008 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. An Eastern Star Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church, 4306 Homeworth Road, Homeworth, Ohio 44634.
