Allan L. Johnson, age 81 of Atwater, died at 4:00 p.m. Saturday September 3, 2005 at Canterbury Villa.
He was born March 23, 1924 in Akron, Ohio to Joseph William and Bernice Violet (Hill) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson attended West High School in Akron. He was formerly employed by Lawson's Dairy Co. and later retired from Lumber Service in Carrollton, where he was employed as a Construction Estimator.
He was a W.W.II U.S. Army veteran, having served in the European African Middle Eastern Theatre, and received four bronze stars.
Survivors include; daughter Karyn (Thomas) Ludlam of Atwater, son David (Cynthia) Johnson of North Canton, daughter Susan (Max) Seidl of Alliance, son Richard (Cindy) Johnson of Alliance, daughter Laura Cash of Branson, Missouri, eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Iris E. Coleman of Atwater, and Bernice (Emelio) Barbarossa of Alliance, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Marion Bowman, and his wife, Flora M. (Murvine) Johnson, who died three days prior.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Atwater Cemetery with Bernice (Deetze) Barbarossa officiating. Friends may call from Noon- 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will be at Atwater Cemetery.
