Alvaretta Peters Dicken, age 94 of Alliance, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born Dec. 29, 1910 in Topeka, Kansas to Oliver E. and Ethel May Dixon Peters and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Dicken graduated from Alliance High School and Kent State University. She was an Accountant at Sears in downtown Alliance until her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Susan E. Dicken of Boardman, two grandsons, Evan R. Dicken of Columbus, and Scott E. Dicken of Boardman, and two sisters, Joan K. Lorius and Dora M. Mueller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glen W. Dicken, who was the Chief Metallurgist for Transue Williams, and to whom she was married to for 65 years before his death in 2002; one son, Glen W. Dicken Jr., who died in 2003, and one sister, Eva May Reighart.
A private graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, with interment to follow at Mount Union Cemetery.
