Alyce Ann Hall

August 26, 1926 — January 29, 2025

Alyce Ann Hall passed away quietly on January 29th, 2025.

Alyce was born in Chester, West Virginia on 26 August 1926, the daughter of Harry and Alice Springer.

She was a graduate of Chester High School and received her Bachelor Degree in Music from Mount Union College. Alyce had a long and varied career as a Music Teacher and Choir Director in Perry Heights, a Guidance Counselor in the Marlington School District and a Medical Records Administrator at Copeland Oaks, all while taking time to raise her three children. Alyce loved music and assured that her children enjoyed music lessons and participation in bands and choirs within school and the church. Alyce also traveled the world with her husband Harold while he served as the Director of International Programs for Mount Union College. During this time, she often served as hostess and a “Mother” figure to numerous international students at Mount Union University who found comfort in her warm and welcoming home.

Alyce was preceded in death by her parents; her nine half brothers and sisters (Helen, Arminta, Margaret Ellen, Hanson, Thomas, Earl, Ralph, Mary and Margaret); her beloved husband of nearly seventy-four years, Harold Lewis Hall; and their daughter Tracie Lee and son in-law, David DiRamio.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Vallene) and Todd (David); grandchildren, Jennifer (Robert) Zaucha and Tyler Hall; great-grandchildren, Ronan, Claire and Jasper; as well as many dear nieces and nephews. Alyce will be deeply missed by her many close friends and family members.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to be announced.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many friends and family members who have provided their love, support, memories and prayers as well as to the staff members of Copeland Oaks and Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio, the congregation of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church, and the University of Mount Union.

She will ever be remembered for blessing us all with her beauty, grace, gentle nature, and warm and loving ways.
