Andrew Patla

Andrew John Patla, age 79 of Alliance, was carried home by the Angels of Heaven, at 1:30 p.m. March 25, 2004 at Community Care Center.
He was born February 5, 1925 in Wauwatoro, Wisconsin to French and Lizzie (Pazytaski) Patla. Mr. Patla worked for Womak Exterminating in Rockville, Maryland, and lived in Alliance since 1991.
A U.S. Marine Corp Veteran, he served in Saipan, Tinian, and Okinawa, Japan, and was a member of the American Legion Post 166 in Alliance.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl E. Patla, whom he married June 27, 1981, one son, Thomas Michael Patla, four step-children; Darrell Lee Thompson, Dale Lynn Thompson, Cindy Lou Morrison, and Cathy Sue Adams; brothers and sisters; Julie Webber, Jeanett Dahlke, Katherine Holtz, Robert Patla, Delores Anderson, and Francis Reich; eight grandchildren; Monica Lourdes Thompson, Albert Jay Thompson, Nitteya Jasmine Thompson, Bianca Anna Thompson, Trevin Justin Thompson, Dorothy Grace Morrison, Victoria Adams, and Joey Adams; and one great-great-granddaughter; Mya Nicole Thompson.
Mr. Patla was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Dorothy Patla, Romee Patla, Agnes Miller, his twin Agness, Pauline Patla, and John Patla.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Highland Memorial Park. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 114 E. Main St. Alliance, Ohio 44601.
