Andy Dosa age 80, died at Community Care Center Friday, November 19, 2004 at 6:30 p.m.
He was born June 25, 1924 in Alliance, to Moses and Anna (Mate) Dosa and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Dosa was employed by Morgan Engineering for 37 years and also served as Assistant Bailiff for Alliance Municipal courts.
He was life member of American Legion Post #166 of Alliance and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, coin collector and former owner of A&E coin shop. He played Santa Claus at his home during the Christmas season and also enjoyed fishing. Mr. Dosa was a former member of BPOE # 467, Alliance Police reserve and United Commerical Travelers.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Grace (Meredith) of Alliance, whom he married June 27, 1959, his sons; Andy (Lynne) Dosa Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska, and Robert (Tammi Benning) Dosa of Alliance and three grandchildren; Shaylor, Madisin and Robert II. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Joseph and John, and three sisters; Kathyrn, Julia and Anna.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Price officiating.
The Family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
