Our beloved mother, aunt and friend, Ann Marie Devers passed away Aug. 3, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born June 6, 1930 in Warren, Ohio to Marko Frtalich and Theresa (Vincovich) Frtalich and lived in Alliance since 1931.
Mrs. Devers graduated in 1948 from Alliance High School, and was employed as a Press Operator for S.I.A. for 27 years until retiring.
Survivors include one son Robert J. Devers of Odessa, Texas, one daughter Kathy (Russ) Henley of Canton, and four granddaughters; Rachel Sinsel, Jenna Leitzke, Meghan Henley and Ellie Henley, two grandsons; Zachary Leitzke and Michael Henley, niece/daughter Amy (Ken) Martin; nephew/grandson Tyler Martin, step-daughter Jan Montgomery, step-son David Croto, brother-in-law Pat Ellis and many special beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marko and Theresa Frtalich, her husband, Robert J. Devers, whom she married October 16, 1948, and who died in January 1961, one brother Donald Frtalich, one nephew/son Mark Frtalich, one brother-in-law William Devers, one sister-in-law Anna May Ellis, and one step-son Joe Croto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Donald Feicht officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
