Ann E. Loar, age 80, of Alliance passed away at 3:59 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born May 19, 1929 in Junior, West Virginia to Howard and Kermith (Browning) Ware and resided in Alliance since 1951.
Ann was a 1946 graduate of Belington High School. She was a member of the Vine St. United Methodist Church and the Church Women United.
Survivors include her husband, George Loar of Alliance, whom she married April 21, 1951; son, Stephen C. (Terri) Loar of Alliance; two grandchildren, Melissa and Joshua Loar; one sister, Barbara (Jerry) Sturm of Parsons, West Virginia; two brothers, Leo (June) Ware and Bill (Dorothy) Ware, both of Belington, West Virginia; one nephew; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one nephew.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
