Anna P. Ameser, age 87 of Alliance, died at her home at 8:15 a.m. Monday July 10, 2006. She was born Aug. 14, 1918 in Loudonville, Ohio to John and Electa (Peterman) Ayers and lived in Alliance since 1943.
A graduate of Perrysville High School, Mrs. Ameser was employed by Sancap Abrasives for over 30 years. Mrs. Ameser was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where she was honored as a 50 year member. She was also a member of the Saxon Club, the Alliance Senior Center and Senior Center Chorus. In addition, she volunteered for the YWCA, the Alliance Senior Center and Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce. She was an avid euchre player and bowler. Survivors include her son, Larry (Connie) Pyers of Alliance; her daughter, Dianna (Vaughn) Erb of Kensington; five grandchildren, LaVonne (Rod) Wright, Larry F. Pyers and companion Frank Greist, Jeffery S. Pyers, Lori (Kevin) Goodwin-Pyers, and LeAnn (Robert) Albright; twelve great-grandchildren, Travis, Tyler, Alison, Toby, Dan, Maggie, Rachel, Ben, Justin, Brett, Tanner, and Kobe. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry Ameser, whom she married June 14, 1963, and who died Feb. 17, 1997, one daughter, Peggy Ann Pyers, four brothers, and six sisters. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. David Hostetler officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
