Anna M. "Tillie" Hively age 91, formerly of Alliance, died Tuesday June 24, 2003 at her daughter's home in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She had resided with her daughter for the past ten years.
Mrs. Hively was born April 24, 1912 in Alliance to George and Sarah Seiler Kellner and lived in the Alliance area for most of her life.
Mrs. Hively was a graduate of Alliance High School. She worked at various stores in the Alliance area, including Fred Haupt's grocery store on South Lincoln, Starks Boston Store on Main St., the A&P Store, and Perskey's, retiring in 1972 from Perskey's Grocery Store, where she was a meat wrapper.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, and served as a helper in the Primary Department when her children were young. She also served as a "Choir Mother" during the time her children were members of the church choir.
She is survived by her daughter, Jayne L. Hively of West Chester, Pa., her son, Ronald E. Hively of Wheeling, Ill., two grandsons, Brett David Hively and Kristian Michael Hively, both of Illinois, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hively was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Edmund Hively, whom she married June 7, 1934, and who died March 24, 1977, four sisters Katharina Cunha, Sara Marie Gabrielson, Elizabeth Comer, and Hilda Zak, and four brothers, George, Michael, John Herman, and Andrew David Kellner.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
