Anna Evelyn Lerch, age 96, of Alliance, died at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at McCrea Manor.
She was born Aug. 19, 1911 in Canton, Ohio to Joseph Erwin Buchtel and Etta (Perdue) Buchtel and resided in the Alliance area since 1950.
She was a member of Beechwood Christian Church.
Survivors include her three daughters, Judith A. (Dale)Steiger of Alliance, Karen (Don) Piero of Copley, Susan K. (Gary) Stauffer of Louisville; three sons, Warren J. (Jeannie) Lerch and Tom A. (Jane) Lerch both of Sun Lake, AZ and Mark A. (Deana) Lerch of Alliance, 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry A. Lerch whom she married May 6, 1934 and who died December 28, 1994; two sons, David Paul Lerch, Jerry Lee Lerch and one sister, Margaret Edgar and two brothers, Paul Buchtel and Robert Buchtel.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Higle officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton.
