Anne M. Anderson

Anne M. Anderson, age 96, passed away on March 25, 2023.

She was born on November 6, 1926, in Tyrone, PA, to Albert and Eunice Blanche (McFarland) Focht.

Anne worked at St. Clair Memorial Hospital in housekeeping and admissions. After her retirement, she served as the receptionist for her church, Allegheny Center Alliance Church.

Anne enjoyed baking, especially apple pies, reading, playing piano, doing word searches and getting together with her church friends and family. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Anne was an incredible neighbor and caregiver.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Marilyn Nestor, Leslie (Rev. Charles) Smith, Karen (Ron) Roudabush, Thomas (Abbey) Anderson, and Timothy (Charlotte) Anderson; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, David Marsh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leslie T. Anderson; her sisters, Mary Focht, Alice Castel, M. Yvonne McConnell and Donna Bonsell; brother, Charles “Skip” Focht;  her daughter, Linda Marsh; grandson, Matthew Anderson; and son-in-law, Earnest Blake.

A celebration of life will be held June 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Allegheny Center Alliance Church.

The family would like to give their sincere appreciation to the caring staff at Canterbury Villa.
