Anne Iva Penrod age 80 of Alliance died at 5:10 p.m. Monday August 18, 2003 at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born September 6, 1922 in Homeworth, Ohio to Emory and Iva (Miller) Kibler.
Mrs. Penrod graduated from Alliance High School, and retired from Sears and Roebuck Company after many of years of service. She also worked for Strong Enamel Company during wartime.
Mrs. Penrod was a member of Science Hill United Church of Christ, and was a devoted and very active member of her church. She also worked for Stark County Board of Elections as a poll worker for many years, and was a member of Modern Homemakers Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Unkefer of Beloit, Connie (Robert) Poto of Alliance, Lori (Craig) Reay of Alliance, six grandchildren; Beth Unkefer, Wade Unkefer, Tami (Jason) Poto Carper, Justin, Derik and Tyler Reay, and one great-grandson Austin J. Carper.
Her parents, her husband Lawrence Eugene Penrod, whom she married Feb. 1, 1941, and who died May 1, 1995, and one brother Duane Kibler preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Science Hill United Church of Christ with Pastor Barry Stirbens officiating. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
