Arel "Jimmy" Johnson Jr

Mr. Arel "Jimmy" Johnson Jr., age 65, of Alliance, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born September 24, 1951 to Arel and Dorothy Johnson in Alliance, Ohio. He was one of seven children born through their union. Arel's father died when he was seventeen years old. Several years later his mother Dorothy remarried to Benjamin Blue. Mr. Blue raised and loved all seven children as his own.
"Jimmy" attended Alliance Public Schools and graduated from Alliance High School. He loved watching football, listening to music, and playing chess. He had a gift of gab and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Arel Johnson Jr. leaves to cherish his memory, loving children, Cassandra Williams of Canton, Arel Williamson of Grove City, and Patricia Williams of Canton, sister, Maria Johnson of Flint, MI; grandchildren, Jordon Williams, Rocky Wright, Uriah Williamson, Lera Williamson, Dominique Williamson, Aleighia Williamson, Mansir Williamson, Elijah Williamson, Jamiah Williamson, Kerystyn Williams, Joseph Williams, Michael Williams, BriAnna Williams, QuiAnna Williams, MaariAnna Williams, Leo'netta Williams, Timothy Jackson, Charity Williams, D'Aundre' Williams and great-grandchild, Ella Jackson; nieces and nephews, Patricia (Dewayne) Ross-Duskin of Texas, Dennis (Victoria) McCreary, of Akron, Regina (Timothy) Broomfield of Grand Blanc, MI, Tina (Earl) Fuller, of Flint, MI, Sharon (Jimmy) Tyson of Flint, MI, Earl Williams of Petals, MS, Damon Johnson, of Flint, MI, Dakeysha (James) Harris of Flint, MI, Mark Gaffney of Cleveland, Kenneth Jones and Keith Pounds Sr., of Canton, Iris Provitt and Mary Sutton of Atlanta, GA, Kirk Pounds of KY and Bobby Anderson, of CA, and a host of great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arel Johnson; mother and step-father, Dorothy and Benjamin Blue; son, Joseph Williams, sisters, Ina Mae Pounds, Margie Jackson and Dorothy Williams, and brothers, Thomas "Tom-Cat" Johnson, Anthony "Tony" Johnson, James "David" Johnson, and Cleave "Archie' Johnson, and grandson, Christian Williams.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Maria Johnson officiating. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
