Arla Jean (Wuthrick) Rumsey, age 75, of Beloit, passed away at 12:40 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2014, at her home.
She was born in Salem, Ohio, to Ralph and Alberta (Siegenthaler) Wuthrick.
A 1956 graduate of Goshen High School, Arla was an active member of Maximo Zion Church. She was formerly employed at MPI Labels for 20 years.
She was a volunteer for Alliance Hospice and a member of the Damascus Historical Society. Arla loved gardening and especially loved spending time with her friends, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Theresa of Salem, Thomas (Lori) Rumsey of Alliance, Fredrick O. (Lori) Rumsey, Jr. of Salem; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents: husband, Frederick O. Rumsey Sr., whom she married September 5, 1959 and who died February 4, 2008; and brothers, Alfred Wuthrick who died in 1952 and Roger Wuthrick who died in 1938.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2014 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor David Ashbrook officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be at a later date.
