Armin A. Thoma, age, 73, of Alliance, died at 1:22 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at his home.
He was born on February 8, 1939 in Regensburg, Germany.
Armin was formerly employed at Babcock and Wilcox research center "McDermott Technology, Inc." for 28 years and was the former coach of the Marlington High School girls soccer team.
Survivors include his wife, Particia (Merwin) Thoma; daughter Lisa (Jim) Desjardins-Almasy of Ravenna, OH; sons, Bob (Jane) Merwin of Wooster, Warren Thoma of Lynchburg, VA, Ron Thoma of Las Vegas, NV, Steve Thoma of Redwood City, CA and Doug Merwin of Prescott, AZ; ten grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the funeral home.
