Arthur Paul Boehm, age 85, of Beloit, passed away at 10:15 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 1, 1929, in Freedom, PA, to the late Oliver and Viola (Wagner) Boehm.
Arthur was a 1948 graduate of Goshen High School. He worked in the oil fields with his father until going into the Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict. He was an independent owner/operator steel hauler for 31 years. He also was a projectionist for 32 years at Salem Drive-In, State and Grand Theaters in Salem, Ohio
He was Lutheran by faith. An avid hunter, he enjoyed fishing, camping, truck maintenance, and especially being with his grandchildren.
Arthur is survived by daughters, Barbara Stacey, Patty Lloyd and Janet (Ken) Faust; six grandchildren, Natalie (Tim) Moore, Emile (Tammy) Lloyd II, Judy Mitchell, April (Danny) Shoaff, Tarra (John) Elliot, and Bill (Olivia) Lloyd; 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will especially be missed by Patty Simpson whom he loved and respected like a daughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rose Marie; brother, Lawrence Boehm and grandson, Justin Mitchell.
Services will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral home on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. Friends may call Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
