Arthur Ross Housley

May 17, 1953 — December 13, 2022

Canfield

Arthur Ross Housley, of Canfield, Ohio, departed his life on December 13, 2022 as a result of heart problems.

Art was born on May 17, 1953 to the late Fred and Mildred (Brummit) Housley.

Art was a Christian and loved his Lord Jesus Christ. Art was a retired Semi Truck owner operator. He never met a stranger and was loved by so many friends. Art would help anyone he could at any time. He loved motorcycles and had just purchased an old truck. His dream was for him and his son, Josh, to fix it up together. He loved working in his yard and took great pride in it.

Art leaves behind his wife, Kathy, whom he married July 4, 1992, and who misses him terribly; his son, Michael (Jennifer) of Chesterland, Ohio, who he cherished and had fond memories with and shared a great love of the same music; his son, Josh of the home, who was his best friend and who he was so very proud of and looked forward to projects with, they loved the Canfield Fair and it was their tradition to go watch them set it up; his sister, Pat Kisner of Lake Milton; brother, Fred (Kay) Housley of Caldwell; sister, Kay Bloomburg of Wingham, Ontario; many friends and family in West Virginia and Ohio; many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews; and of course his Michigan boys, as he called them.

Art was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barb Thompson; his brother, Steve Housley; and his beloved dog, Penny.

He will be missed so much. Art made his wishes known to his family and wanted his good friend and confidant, Pastor Roy Teague to do his memorial service at a later date. Art’s favorite verse was Isaiah 40:31.

Arrangements are entrusted to Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home 75 South Union Ave Alliance, Ohio 44601.
