Arthur R. Ringer, age 80 of Alliance, died at 9:55 p.m. July 13, 2006 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born Sept. 24, 1925 in Marlboro, Ohio to Grover and Effie (Gehman) Ringer and lived most of his life in Alliance.
Mr. Ringer attended the former Marlboro High School and was the owner and operator of the former Buzz's Highway Meat Market and Bakery; and worked as a meat cutter for 44 years. He currently shuttled cars for National Car Rental.
Arthur attended New Franklin United Methodist Church and was a member of United Food Workers.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and was there for everyone.
Survivors include his wife, Bea (Haynam) Ringer, whom he married Feb. 5, 1950; one daughter, Barbara (Joseph) Longo of Delray Beach, Fla.; two sons, Rick Ringer of Alliance, and Randy Ringer of Green, Oh.; six grandchildren, Mike Wallace, Darren (Christine) Wallace, Kelley, Krista, Elizabeth, and Michael Ringer; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Galen (Elta) Ringer of Sebring, and Virgil (Cora) Ringer of Marlboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Dorothy Reiboldt Fox, and Thelma Goodenberger.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. William Wright of New Franklin United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
