Barbara E. "Bobi" (Reisch) Bodo, age 75, of Alliance, died at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born December 23, 1936, in Alliance, to Norman Reisch and Lucille Cordelia (Schrader) Reisch, and was a lifetime resident of Alliance.
A 1954 graduate of Alliance High School, Bobi worked as a clerk for 30 years for Damon Chemical Company. She was a member of the Lexington United Methodist Church and the Elks Auxiliary.
She enjoyed reading, puzzles, was a true Cleveland Indians fan, and enjoyed daily walks at Silver Park. Bobi loved to travel with her late husband; they especially enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach and had seen every state, except, Alaska.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Ackerman, of Alliance; two grandchildren, Dustin M. Ackerman and Jessica M. Ackerman both of Alliance; and sisters, Carol Wallace and Marilyn Hazen, both of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard M. "Dick" Bodo, whom she married December 10, 1966 and who died March 31, 2008; brothers, Seward Reisch and Norman Reisch, Jr.; and son-in-law, Bret Ackerman.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Baltzer officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
