Barbara J. (Wasson) Evans, age 62, of Alliance passed away at 8:40 a.m. on March 8, 2015 at Altercare of Alliance.
She was born on March 22, 1952 in Alliance to Harold T. and Norma I. (Lare) Wasson.
Barbara was a graduate of Alliance High School. She formerly worked for Beads Beads in California.
She was a loving mother and sister who was wonderful at knitting, beading and was a talented craft artist. Gardening, music, reading and movies were some of her joys in life.
Survivors include her mother; daughters, Jennifer (John) Vizzuso of Grafton, Ohio, Jessica (Keith) Milligan of Riverside, CA and Nicole (Nathan) Eriksen of Hacienda Heights, CA; seven wonderful grandchildren; sisters; Sandra (Earnie Robinson) Wasson of Tieton, WA and Valerie Wasson of Alliance.
She was preceded in death by her father, granddaughter and brother.
A gathering to honor the life of Barbara (Wasson) Evans will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, with an open sharing of memories starting at 7 p.m. Interment will be at Foxfield Preserve in Wilmot, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave. 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
