Barbara J. Anderson (Mazzei) Bixler

Barbara J. Anderson (Mazzei) Bixler passed away October 30, 2022 at 80 years old.  Born Dec. 3, 1941, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Valliere (Bud) E. Anderson and Frances (Wagner) Anderson.  Preceded in death by her husband Kenneth F. Bixler and Sister Carol (Anderson) Kauffman.  A 1960 Alliance High School graduate, previously employed at College Plaza Bowling Lanes and Hills Department Store and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  She loved spending time with family and friends, was an avid book reader and solved many a jigsaw puzzle.  She enjoyed watching Cleveland Indians Baseball and Investigation Discovery shows, loved to bowl and especially valued spending time and going out to lunch with all her girlfriends.

Barbara is survived by three sons Craig Mazzei (Cheri) Virginia Beach, VA; Dave Mazzei Lorain, OH; Dan Mazzei (Renee) Austintown, OH one sister Linda (Anderson) Mixner of Virginia Beach, VA; five grandchildren Jared, Tyler, Zach, Maddie and Devyn, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 11:00-12:30 on Wednesday, November 2nd at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow visitation at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery, 4199 S Union Ave, Alliance, OH 44601.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Alzheimers Organization in her name (Barbara Bixler) at www.alz.org .  Barbara’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Austintown Healthcare for their devotion and excellence in care.
