Barbara J. (Conner) Parkison, age 61, of Alliance, passed away at 7:57 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Aultman Hospital.
She was born June 3, 1952, in Alliance, to Paul and Mable (Householder) Kirkpatrick and was a lifetime resident.
A 1971 graduate of Marlington High School, Barbara was a cook for nursing homes and a baker for the former Sugar and Spice Bakery.
Barbara was a member of the Alliance Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially the time she spent with her grandkids.
Survivors include her mother, Mable of Alliance; husband, William Parkison, Sr. of Alliance, whom she married May 6, 1998; daughters, Charlotte Moore, Crystal Moore and Casey Jean Moore; all of Alliance; son, William Jr. (Marlene) Parkison, of Alliance; grandchildren, Tracina, Christopher, Rylee, Franky, Grayce, Paige and William, III; three brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2013, at Alliance Church of Christ with Pastor David Ray officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home.
