Barbara A Schmidt

Barbara A. Schmidt, age 96, of Alliance, died peacefully at 2:25 p.m. Saturday. February 25, 2017 at Canterbury Villa.
She was born December 5, 1920, in Limaville, Ohio, to James and Wilma (Miller) Trump and was a long time resident of Marlboro.
Barbara was a graduate of Alliance High School, member and former Sunday school teacher at the Aldersgate Methodist Church and member of the Marlboro Fire Department Women's Auxiliary.
She loved spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis, cards and camping.
Survivors include children, Pamela (Eugene) Kastner, Karen Schmidt, and Richard (Becky) Schmidt; grandchildren, Rob (Julie) Kastner, Heidi Kastner (Patrick) Simmons, Tyler (Nanette) Schmidt, Ashley Schmidt (Seth) Miller, Tania Kastner (Franky) Sanchez, Reina Kastner (David) Peterson, Saul Kastner and Bertha Kastner; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Annabel Slabaugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents: husband, Frank Andrew Schmidt Jr., whom she married February 14, 1939, and who died August 23, 2003; granddaughter, Nicole Schmidt who died June 10, 1982; three sisters and a brother.
Private family services will be held with interment at Marlboro Cemetery.
