Barbara Ann Syme

Barbara Ann (Salchow) Syme, age 82, of Alliance passed away at Bel Air Care Center on March 30th.

Barb was born October 28, 1939, to Lester Salchow and Harriet (Keltz) Salchow.

She retired from Refresh Dental in 2014 after nearly 40 years.  She spent 20 years singing with Sweet Adelines International.

She is survived by her two sons, Eric Syme and Kirk (Vickey) Syme of Alliance; her two daughters, Leslie (Steve) Miller of San Antonio, TX and Kristin Broughton of Maple Valley, WA; nine grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Alton “Dewey” Syme in December 2014; her sister Donna Wynn in December 2020; and her daughter-in-law Cyndi Syme in November 2020.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Freddie Rodriguez will officiate.
