Barry D. Ellis
Barry D. Ellis, age 63, of Alliance died at peacefully at his home at 9:42 p.m. Monday Dec. 4, 2006.
He was born Oct. 27, 1943 in Alliance to Harold C. and Leila May (Porter) Ellis and was a lifelong resident.
Barry graduated from Alliance High School and was formally employed by M.P.I. Label in Sebring in shipping and receiving. He was a member of Dante and Roma Society and enjoyed poetry, reading, camping and fishing.
Mr. Ellis was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran.
Survivors include his wife Patty Jo (Vargo) Ellis whom he married Aug. 26, 2000; three daughters Denise Ellis, Misty (Brian) Shearrow and Darci Ellis all of Alliance; two step-sons Joseph C. (Tara) Vargo and Ronald L. Hawkins both of Alliance; former wife and longtime friend Marsha Ellis of Alliance; six grandchildren Chelsea, Camryn, Cody, Colton, Brittany and Albert; three step-grandchildren Matthew, Melanie and Cassidy; three brothers Harold P. (Sandra) Ellis of Thousand Oaks, CA, William (Virginia) Ellis of North Canton and Donald Ellis of Tempe, TX; one sister Molly Palmer of Toledo; many nieces and nephews and special friends Bob and Debbie Budack, Tom, Dave, Pat, Mac, Charles and Aunt Alice.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Richard Ellis, and one sister Madeline Curtis.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Hookway officiating. Friends may call from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday.
