Benjamin "Ben" D. Benedict, age 27, of Alliance, died Oct. 26, 2007 at Akron City Hospital from injuries due to a motorcycle accident.
Ben was born Oct. 25, 1980 in Alliance, Ohio to Rex Benedict Sr. and Sharon (Corbett) Benedict.
Ben graduated in 1999 from Southeast High School and graduated from Ravenna Maplewood JVS in Auto Mechanics.
Ben worked as a Venter for Akron Central Engraving Mold and Machine.
Ben enjoyed motorcycle riding, working on automobiles, spending time with his family and friends, and helping people. Ben also liked outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, and playing various sports, including softball with his father.
Ben is survived by his mother, Sharon Benedict and her fiance Ron Oxier of Canton, father, Rex Benedict Sr. of Alliance, and his fiance, Terry Seeds of Canfield, maternal grandparents, Ralph and Carolyn Corbett of Diamond, maternal great-grandmother Elizabeth Corbett of Diamond, paternal grandmother, Esther F. Murphy of Toronto, Oh., brother, Rex (Jessica) Benedict Jr. of Malvern, two step-brothers, Adam Oxier of Canton, and Mark Seeds of Canfield, three step-sisters, April Smith of Akron, Nicole Oxier of Akron, and Amy Seeds of Canfield; two nephews, Tyler Benedict, and Terry Lewis, both of Malvern; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ben was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frederick Benedict.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Gorby of Family of God Fellowship in Weirton, W Va., officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 pm. Tuesday. Interment will be at Liberty Cemetery in Paris, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
