Berneice L. Martinock, age 79, of Alliance, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born October 5, 1930 in Ridgefield Park, NJ to George B. and Katherine (Steer) Youngling.
Berneice graduated from Ridgefield Park High School in Ridgefield Park, NJ and was co-owner and president of Mid America Marketing for 15 years, and was formerly secretary to the sales manager at Armour Abrasives for 4 years. She was a member of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Beryl A. Gilmartin of Alliance, OH; son, Lee R. Martinock of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren; Crystal and Melinda Sullivan, Brian R. Gilmartin, and MacKenzie Martinock; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Patricia Bosco; a brother, Gary Martinock of Bayville, NJ; and two sisters, Kathryn Kreppel of Broken Arrow, OK and Muriel Grace of Mansfield, MA.
Berneice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert P. Martinock whom she married August 22, 1953 and who died January 8, 2010; and a brother, George B. Youngling Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Mrs. Cappy Kreppel officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army-Alliance Citadel, 57 W. Main St. Alliance, OH. 44601.
