Bernice V. Fernandez

Bernice V. Fernandez, age 78, of Alliance, died at 9:20 a.m. May 15, 2007 at her home.
She was born March 31, 1929 in Maximo, Ohio to Lawrence and Lucille (Pollis) Rupp.
Mrs. Fernandez was owner of Town Tavern for 15 years. She loved to crochet and loved her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Presbyterian faith.
She is survived by her sons, Francis "Pico" Fernandez of Alliance, Ezekiel (Mary) Fernandez of Alliance, Richard (Ella) Fernandez of Minerva and Ronald (Jody) Fernandez of Alliance; sisters, Lillian White, Viola Warner, Mary Minor and Rita Hornsby, all of Alliance; brothers, Kenneth Rupp of Homeworth, Lawrence Rupp Jr. of Alliance, and Robert Rupp of Canton, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ezequiel Fernandez, whom she married September 28, 1945 and who died February 24, 2001, infant son, Robert Fernandez; brothers, Leonard Rupp, Eugene Rupp, Charles Rupp and Frank Rupp and sister Loretta Wisse.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Sadler officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
