Bert Joseph Pederzol, age 95, of Alliance passed away at 8:10 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2014, at Canterbury Villa.
He was born December 12, 1918, in Alliance, Ohio, to Bert J. and Mary (Radicchio) Pederzol and was a lifelong resident.
Bert was a 1938 graduate of Alliance High School and was a machinist for T&W Forge for 43 years, retiring in 1981.
A WWII veteran of the U.S. Army, Bert served in the European Theatre. He was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, T&W 1603 Retirees, the Christopher Columbus Club and the Dante Club. Bert also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his three daughters, Jacqueline L. (Richard) Pratt of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Antoinette M. (Charles) Seifert of Conway, Arkansas, and Joyce L. (John) McClain of Denver, Colorado; one son, Dr. Bert J. (Kitty) Pederzol of Alliance, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 70 years, Marie (Iacavone) Pederzol whom he married September 28, 1940 and who passed away September 4, 2010; grandson, B. J. Pederzol; sister, Emma Barnhart and brother, Dr. Angelo Pederzolli.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Regina Coeli Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Ruggieri officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
