Bertha I. Marsh age 79 of Alliance, died at 11:15 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2004 at Community Care Center.
Mrs. Marsh was born February 25, 1924 in Cameron, West Virginia to Frank and Emma (Dixon) Sampson, and lived most of her life in the Alliance area. She attended Cameron Central High School, and worked at Spaulding China, Alliance Community Hospital, and Grant's Stores, in addition to other shops in Alliance.
A member of Beechwood United Methodist Church, she was also a member of DAV Auxiliary, Swinging Sixties Bowling Club and VFW Auxiliary of Sebring.
Survivors include three nieces.
Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vincent F. Marsh, whom she married April 16, 1948, and who died Aug. 5, 1995, three brothers and one sister.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Williams officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Beechwood United Methodist Church 3450 Beechwood Ave., Alliance, OH 44601, or Alzheimer's Disease Foundation, 4815 Munson St. NW Canton, OH 44718.
