Bettie M. "Mae" Garman, age 82, of Alliance, died at 9:54 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007 at home.
She was born Feb. 6, 1925 in Canton to Arvine and Elsie (Krause) Wendling and had lived in Canton before moving to Alliance in 1995.
Mrs. Garman was a 1943 graduate of Timken High School. She retired in 1986 from Fisher Foods and then worked at the May Company until 1992.
Mrs. Garman was a member of the Springfield Lake camp ground.
She was a member of First Church of God in Alliance and a former member of the First Church of God in Massillon.
Survivors include her daughter, Darlene (Mike) Ferguson of Alliance; sons, Bill (Marilyn) Williamson of Salem and Scot (Pat) Williamson of Newton Falls; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Gene Wendling; many nieces and nephews; and many other children that she loved and cared for.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean M. Garman whom she married July 31, 1965 and who passed away Jan. 1, 2004 and brother Robert D. "Bobby" Wendling.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Murphy officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday.
Interment will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park in Canton.
