Betty Jane Boyd, age 72, of Alliance, died at 9:56 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, at her home.
She was born January 15, 1940, in Fairview, West Virginia, to William Isaac Chadwick and Betty Jerldine (Glover) Chadwick.
Betty was a 1958 graduate of Canton McKinley High School and worked at Coastal Pet Products until retiring in July of 2011.
She was a member of the Marlboro Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and granddaughters, working in her flower beds and going to the YMCA to swim with her friend, Pat.
Survivors include her mother Betty J. Chadwick; daughter, Catrina A. (Thomas) Davis, and son, William E. Boyd, both of Alliance; three grandchildren, Amanda Bluhm, and Janet and Sarah Boyd; companion, Walter Dean Ring of Alliance; stepdaughter, Rebecca Eberly of Alliance; stepson, Jeffrey Ring of Beloit; and brother, Bobby Wayne (Ellen) Chadwick of Navarre.
She was preceded in death by her father; and her husband, Carl E. Boyd, who died in 1990.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Friday, July 13, 2012 at Marlboro Christian Church with Edward J. Harnish, minister, officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Canton.
