Betty M. Erb

Betty M. Erb, age 99, currently of Sebring, passed away from dementia on Saturday September 7, 2024. 

She was born on April 10, 1925, in Akron, Ohio to Paul A. and Cora B. (Graening) Walkey, but lived most of her life in the Hartville, Marlboro and Alliance areas.

A 1944 graduate of Marlboro High School, Betty worked for ten years as a waitress at Congress Lake Country Club in Hartville and another ten years as a press operator at Marlboro Manufacturing.

Betty was a member of the Alliance First Church of God for over 30 years where she was a member of Women of the Church of God. She enjoyed spending much of her time crocheting and quilting.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Anne Watson; grandchildren, Jeremy (Marie) Disman of Ormand Beach, Florida and Will Disman of Canton, Ohio; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Louis Disman; second husband, Max Coffelt; third husband, William Erb; and son, William C. Disman. 

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday September 14, 2024 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m.-Noon, prior to the service.

Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, Canton, OH.

Betty’s family would like to express their gratitude to Aultman Alliance Hospice and Aultman Woodlawn Compassionate Care Center for their excellent care of Betty. Memorial contributions to either of these organizations in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.
