Betty Freeman

Betty Jane Battershell Freeman, age 86 of Alliance, died at 8:55 a.m. October 16, 2005 at Community Care Center.
She was born Nov. 25, 1918 in Alliance, Ohio to Walter and Esther (Saunier) Battershell and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Freeman attended Bolton United Methodist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family when she wasn't working. She retired from working at D-Con Company, and previously worked at J.C. Penny and Alliance Manufacturing for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie K. (Bill) Wilson of Homeworth, son, Larry (Linda) Freeman of Alliance, grandchildren; Traci (John) McGary of Homeworth, Terri Wilson of Canton, Bill (Shelley) Wilson of Homeworth, Larry Freeman Jr. of Alliance, Tony (Jill) Thomas of Alliance, Michel (George) Kish of Georgia, Joie (Kevin) Layne of Colorado, Jeremy (Gwynne) Thomas of Homeworth, brother, Kenneth W. Battershell of Alliance, and sister, Ramona (Gene) Chepke of Canfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Bill Battershell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Dr. David Bloor officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
