Betty Marie Gleich, age 82, of Ft. Myers, Florida and formerly of Alliance, died at her home Dec. 29, 2007.
She was born Feb. 28, 1925 in Atwater, Ohio to Robert M. and Katherine M. (Andrie) Wasmire and moved to Florida in 1984.
Mrs. Gleich graduated from Alliance High School and was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Ft. Myers. She was employed by Armor Abrasive Co. and with the Alliance Post Office. She was a member of the Alliance Exchange Club (Exchangettes), Alliance Women's Club and Alliance Elks Club, Women's Auxilliary.
Survivors include her husband, Roger L. Gleich, whom she married Dec. 15, 1951; daughter, Kathryne M. Fitzelle of Ft. Myers, Fla., son, Michael T.(Lori)Gleich/Brush of Alliance; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son Darry L. Gleich, who died in 1977.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with the Monsignor James F. Kolp of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
