Betty J. Fisher, age 90 of Alliance, died at her home at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 16, 2005.
She was born November 10, 1915 in Sebring, Ohio to Ford G. and Myrtle (Haggerty) Smith.
Mrs. Fisher graduated from Akron Buchtel High School and attended the former Alliance Business College.
She was a former member of Bethany United Presbyterian Church, and current member of First United Presbyterian Church. She was a former deacon at Bethany Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Fisher was a Mother and Grandmother to many, and is survived by her daughter, Erin L. (Joe) Miller of Alliance, one granddaughter, Stacey (Matt) Kelly of Alliance, one great-grandson Landon Kelly, and one nephew, Eric D. Shaffer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 59 years, Walter T. Fisher, whom she married Aug. 21, 1937, and who died July 4, 1997; three brothers, Lee, Paul and Clyde Smith, and three sisters, Catherine Smith, Frances Spall, and Gretchen Shaffer.
A private family memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005 with Chaplain Joanne Dota of Hospice of the Valley officiating.
