Betty L. Jarvis, age 77, of Alliance, died at 6:10 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 at McCrea Manor with her family at her side.
She was born, October 17, 1932, in Clay, West Virginia, to Orpha Summers. A high school graduate, Betty was formerly employed by the Armour Company in Alliance for 20 years until her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter, Rea (Joe) Russo of Alliance, two sons, Ronald (Angie) Cruikshank of Newton, WV, and Donald Graham of Alliance; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; stepdaughter Luetta Jarvis of Salem; stepson Alan Jarvis of Youngstown; three sisters Norma (Euhl) Shafer of Inverness, Florida, Marvis Sutton of Tariff, WV and Glenna White of Mount Pleasant, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Robert Cruikshank, Jack Graham and James Jarvis; and a stepson.
Private family services will he held Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Peters officiating.
