Betty Weaver

Betty Weaver, age 94, of Alliance, passed away at 1:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Crandall Medical Center.
She was born December 17, 1923, in Blissfield, Ohio, to Howard Emmett and Esta Jen (Fox) Gamertsfelder.
Betty was employed at Taylorcraft working on airplane wings and later retired from Alliance City Schools.
She enjoyed traveling and playing bingo and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Her family and grandchildren were much loved by her.
Survivors include her children, Connie Stiffler of Victoria, Texas, Linda (Robert) Showers, Randy Weaver and Barbara (Charles) Renz, all of Alliance; seven grandchildren, Christy (Gary) Eberling, Jennifer (Ron) Maley, Cathy (Adam) Warren, Brian Weaver, Clinton (Christina) Renz, Danielle (John) Leasure and Rob Renz; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard (Ann) Gamertsfelder, William (Sandra) Gamertsfelder and Ronald (Cathy) Gamertsfelder; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her siblings, Maxine Lewis, and Howard "Junior", Earl and Donald Gamertsfelder; and three brothers who died in infancy.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018, at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor David Storlie officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
