Beulah Ann Garvin

Beulah Ann Garvin, age 86, of Alliance, passed away at 3:05 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Community Care Center.
She was born August 13, 1932, in Canton, Ohio, to Ethel Lucille Taylor.
Beulah was formerly employed by Ohio Bell, the former Jays Market in Alliance and Myrtle Lyone's Marketing in food demonstrations.
She was a member and active in Bible studies at Alliance Friends Church. Beulah was selected as Mother of the Year in the Twins Club in 1976, and also served as its recording secretary, historian and sunshine chairman.
A member of the Liberty School Parent Teacher Association, she also served for seven years with United Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Disabilities in East Central Ohio, Mental Health and Social Services and was a devoted member of the Stark County Council on Drug Abuse and Crisis Center.
Additionally she was a member of the Women of the Moose, Alliance Chamber of Commerce, and Alliance Quota Club.
Beulah enjoyed reading, thrift shopping, listening to music, word search puzzles, watching movies, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Michael Dean (companion, Lisa Johnson) Garvin of Asheville, North Carolina; two daughters, Barbara Ann (Robert) Steiner of Alliance and Sheryl Sue (Carl) Falcone of Massillon; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Dennis Kirk and Darrell Lee Garvin; and former husband, Talmadge Grant Garvin.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2018 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
