Beverly Ann Barnard, age 70 of Alliance, died at 12:33 p.m. Monday August 15, 2005 at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born in Akron, Ohio on July 29, 1935 to Paul and Belva (Hurni) Davis and lived in Alliance most of her life.
Beverly graduated from Alliance High School in 1953 and drove school bus for Marlington Schools for 30 years.
She was a member of Beechwood United Methodist Church, Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, and volunteered for Beechwood Playground for 34 years. She also taught ceramics for many years.
Beverly enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She loved to crochet and travel.
Mrs. Barnard is survived by her husband, Richard W. Barnard, whom she married Feb. 14, 1954; one daughter Suzette (Gerald) Hoover of Alliance; and grandchildren, Andrew (Deborah) Hoover of Cuyahoga Falls, Kathrine L. Hoover of Alliance, and Benjamin J. Hoover of Cuyahoga Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Marjorie Biddinger, and one brother, Harold Davis and two nephews.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
