From sunrise to sunset it was time for your clock to stop and for you to gain your wings and join the lord in his glory. Beverly A. Barnes, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home on January 2, 2021. She was born on January 20, 1946 in Akron Ohio to father, Jasper Barnes and mother, Hattie Mae Myers. Beverly Barnes was an independent and hard working woman that was truly the rock in her family that could bring people together and put a smile on their faces. She also was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah witness where she attended for years until cancer took over and sadly had to stop going, but still studying in her household. Beverly Barnes loved to go shopping and loved her family and her cats.
Family that’s left to cherish her memories are her siblings, William Barnes and Rosemary Barnes; her children Timothy Edwards and Tomeka Myers; her grandchildren Tashawna S.P Barnes Shanta R.Patterson, Jamerican S. Richards (Barnes), Timazj X. Edwards, Shawn V. Barnes, Dashawn E. Barnes, Shawnnice H.N. Barnes, Shawnnia C. Barnes and twin Marion, Mariana and Ein Huff and great grandchildren of (13) and niece and nephew, DeOhna Barnes (six children) and Harvey Barnes (four children).
Beverly Barnes was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Mab Lee Crocker; sister, Marian Theresa Myers; Son, Shawn V. Barnes; grandson, Akira A.K .Kirksey; nephew, Jojuanta Myers; niece, Hattie Myers; and step-father, Arthur C. Payne.
A private service will be held 2:30pm on Tuesday, January 5 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home for immediate family only, due to her wishes. Family and friends contact the intermediate after service @ 330-823-4829.
